I want to know best position of distributor where the timing adjustment lockdown bolt is. Best all the way all the way top, which is counter clockwise, middle,or bottom, fully clockwise. Just wondering. Thanks for your time.
In the middle, that way you can adjust it either way.
From the FSM,
Set the timing at 5* BTD,
Looking at the rotor like a clock, place the rotor at 12,
Center the distributor adjustment opening over the bolt hole in the head,
When you slide the distributor into the head, the rotor should rotate counter clockwise and point at the vacuum port on the distributor.
