I would also like to add that any & all manufacturers have to deal with tolerances from their own or purchased parts. I deal with it for a living. I’ve worked both the design side and the factory support side. Tolerances are a part of life and that does not take into consideration what has happened to your truck over the past 30 +/- years. If you are having issues with you mounts give him a shot at helping you out.
I would first try loosening everything up and see if that does the trick, if that does not work give him a call.
