i read that the 79 trucks used electric fuel pumps and there tanks will  except the later efi fuel pump unit, no mention of if they have the pan/baffle thing, can anyone confirm if this is true?
I did the 22RE swap into a 79...the 79 tank IS different, in that the sender location and pump location are opposite, and the EFI pump will not drop into the older tank, we tried, as he had just had his tank redone...Ended up installing the '90 EFI tank into the 79, only thing we had to do was drop the back of the tank by 1.5" to clear the bottom of the  Flatbed...Don't even notice it unless you know what to look for...
AND the bottom of his tank is still intact/unscathed after a few trips to the Rubicon, and to the Hammers... :yupyup: :clap:
BigMike, it's the Yellow Exo'd 1st Gen that Jessmo on here (Jesse) from Wa State has shown up to the Round-up with...There are pics in the Round ups from 2012, and 2013...
