Thanks. The boot on the transmission on the transfer lever looks okay, but the one for the shift lever was destroyed. And like I thought, the only thing left of the shift seat is the metal ring on the bottom. I removed the shift knobs, but the part of the shifter you see in the cab is wider than the lower part and I was worried I'd ruin the new boots putting them on, I guess they have more stretch than I thought. I also noticed when taking it apart that there are two rubber dual boots that slide over both the shift levers and screw into the floor on the transmission tunnel. Is this normal? or should there only be one?
