I had an 84 EFI Celica motor...had the dome top pistons, round exhaust ports on the head, 2 plug ecu. It's a bit easier to wire in compared to the normal 3 plug ones and has less smog equip than newer 90s 22re as well.

double row timing chain will fit on the 83 block if that matters
