Kind of depends on what you want. I love my EFI rigs for hard core wheeling since it runs practically upside down and all that but I also love the simplicity of my 1980 truck with the stock carb. If I was just going wheeling and driving to work, I would choose the 22re. If I was going to war with it, or say expedition travel, I would choose the carb for easier fixes in inclement conditions. Seems like you can always bandaid a carb truck together and get it home. The EFI, while it rarely needs anything usually requires parts when it goes down.
