I was told to stay away from them because they can cause Severe wheel hop and can unload when you don't want them to. But I have never used them so I have no First hand experience.  When I swap in my 63" chevy's I am not going to use the double shackle because they have the same disadvantages.   I guess it depends on the type of wheeling you do.
