After letting it air out a while, she fired right up and ran like a champ.

good to here :)     I think we all have had this problem do to the cap being vented.  I my self like to use carb cleaner then blow dry/ WD-40 helps to      + if your board one day grab a tube of die-electric grease and hit the whole wire harness   makes it easy trouble shooting when U run across a deep water hole. ;)
