86 should work for the 87. Beware though, you have to take apart the entire dash to get it out. I am in the middle of this right now as we speak. Well, not as we speak because I'm in here typing and we really aren't speaking well you get the picture. Besides that I had to walk away as I was getting frustrated because I broke my passenger side air vent trying to remove it.
