I run a spool in the front after breaking 2 ez lockers. Yes.. it can be hard to turn..... if you are in 4wd on pavement. other wise..I have never had a problem.

Even on the slick rock at moab. It WAS a pain before I had power steering.....I also added a tranny cooler and plumed it in line to the low pressure side of the steering box when I converted it over because I have heard of people having problems with it overheating running a front locker. So far no problems. If I had excess money

I would run an arb or an e-locker...But I don't. As far as on the road in 2wd, it is not an issue if you unlock your hubs.....You do unlock your hubs in 2wd on the road right??

I say: run a spool (or weld it...same thing) And don't look back. You can spent more on a detroit or arb...But for those of us who arn't made on money......
