Yes, both gear drive cases.  I wonder why every site I have found says for 4cyl gear drive only. No application for V6 or AUTOMATIC?!!!

And would you explain why you say Mech over Elec.

The T-cases you have are 4 cylinder. That is why you have an adapter to hook them up to the tranny.

Electric have to have power to them to stay on all the time. They were designed for drag racing to be used for doing burn-outs and launch off the line on green light. I do not know about the newer ones, but the older ones if the were powered all the time the solenoids would burn out.
