Sucks what happened but I don't see what the officer did wrong that pulled you over for the light being out. How was he supposed to know that the vehicle you were behind was stolen? Sounds like he was doing his job. On a side note if you as an untrained person in a pit maneuver had not attempted it, you'd not have broken a headlight in the first place. I guess it always someones fault. I give you credit for tailing the thief but you should have done just that and not tried a dangerous maneuver such as that, plus you'd have prevented the end result in which you lost the truck. You could have done more damage than a head light or even injured someone.
