I got a semi hammered but low miles '80 ranch truck for $250 a few years back. Bought it from a barn yard with about 100K miles and a bad clutch slave. It sat for a while and it took about 10,000 miles to work the cobwebs out. This is by far the best Toyota pickup I have ever owned. I'd love to restore it completely but at this point I like it in it's scuffed up condition because I use it so much. All i did to it was front and rear lockers, slight suspension massage, sliders/bumpers and cheap 31s on some steel SR5 wheels. Finally added an winch I had laying around for firewood and fence stretching duty. It still looks basically stock. I am adding dual t-case this winter just to add to the sleeper effect. I have been offered a healthy profit may times but I won't sell it. 1st gens rule and we should all have a moderately built one in the stable to go with our other trucks. They are just so cool to see on the road and extremely useful if you don't make them to big.
Here it is with 1680 lbs of hay...
