this is what i am thinking
i want to start another 1st gen runner
1st. Replace the weak engine with 3rz or 3.4L
I still have lots of homework to decide which one to go with. I hated my last 22r and 22re for a daily driver so a strong engine is very important to me and its a big budget item. I want to get it out the way right off the batt
2nd. Body fab and protection.
I want to chop all the fenders, rear quarters and swap the runner tailgate for a pu tail gate then get it painted. I am tired of driving ugly beaters so now I want my dd to look nice no matter what stage it is in. add the body protection to keep it nice
3rd. Get tcase set up with gears, duals and belly skids
4th. start working on my axles. Not the axles on the rig. I want to build a taco V6 rear and not sure for the front either a stretched mini or fj80 with hellfire fab knuckles. axles are where all the money gos, tax returns, extra cash, sell a kidney, sell blood, sperm bank, credit, ie. solid axles eat money
a. maybe throw lockers in the stock axles just to be able to have a little fun and be able to make it out on some trails for camping and fun.
5th. Lift and steering. its the easy and fun part
