I talked to a machine shop yesterday. Told me to check and see if there was any play in the piston. So I went to check and noticed the oil had drained from the top of the piston and sure enough the piston had movement from front to back. Also the top of the piston didn't have the carbon build up like the others. So most likely broken rings and a honing is in order unless I decide to replace the whole thing.
