There are of course plenty of vegetables that are poisonous to humans. To name a few, pits/seeds from certain stone fruits and many poisonous mushrooms. Even apple seeds contain a level of arsenic.
I'm not suggesting one consumes literally every thing that grows from the ground, just that vegetables are by far more healthy than eating animals.
For religious reasons, I choose not to eat Pork products so this shortage has zero effect on me
I do however eat boneless Chicken, Beef, and Turkey from time-to-time, so I am not a vegetarian. It's just my preference to choose veggies over meet. They just taste much better to me and without any side affects such as osteoporosis, or battery acid in my stomach from dairy products. Oh, wait, that's another topic hahaha
