Well like you said they are sort of rare... I did pick two runners up for like 600 a couple years ago. They were pretty thrashed however.
I understand they arnt toyota but early subarus with the ea81 and ea82 engines are everywhere and usually cheap. Not to mention they have high and low range transfer cases

I've had a couple and I can tell yea they are tough. I've also seen subarus with yota axles under them. And the h6 engine
