If you are on a budget and cant afford a locker weld it. Make sure that you weld it good enough to be abused. I have never broke a welded diff but I go to the extreme and weld 1/4" plates in mine with .080 dual sheild or a stick welder with hard rod. I have a welded diff in the front of mine and e-locker in the rear. I am saving up to do another e-locker in the front and welded only costs tear down and gear oil, and wire or rod to weld it.
