If your usage is below 60 amps than it should be fine.  When you need for worry is when you start using more than 60 amps.   The wire is meant to withstand 60 amps.   When you add all kinds of power drawing accessories like rock lights bumping stero winch ect... That's when the wire will start to heat up and could potentially cause problems.

Like I said I guess that's possible,, although I do not know what my average usage is, although I have a 1000 watt amp, 2-10" subs w/ 6x9s etc, 12 rock lights,, 4-6" KC lights, roundeyes head light conversion, 9000lb Warn,, etc,, etc.... I have been know to use everything at once, although its not very often... Im not saying this is the best alternator option,, just its working good so far....  :beer:
