94 accord stolen! And recovered! Same day!
« on: Oct 07, 2013, 11:13:46 AM »
So some dumb guy stole my moms 94 accord today around 9:45 am. He did a burn out when he took off. I was in my room doing some homework when my mom comes in telling me some guy just stole her car and she saw him driving it down the street. This is the second time this car is stolen this year. LOL this car is not great, but they love it. So I ran to the garage to jump into my 83 pickup to see if I could follow the guy.
When I was pulling out of the garage the dumb ass drove by my house again! My truck was to cold and did not want to accelerate and I killed it, but I saw him turn left down the street like three blocks away. I turned right at the first street to try to cut him off. I was able to locate him by driving down some alleys in the neighbor hood. He was trying to pull over, looked like he was confused. LOL he saw me coming and took off again in the car so I followed him. He ran a red light in front of my neighbors house and again drove past my house? He then turned right again two blocks down. So I turned right again to cut him off at another street. He was parked and jumped out of the car and jumped some fences to get away when he saw me coming. I pulled over and called the police. Some guy in a blue 70s chevy pickup was following me while I was trying to keep up with the guy in my moms car. I think he is the one that dropped him off at my house?
So I was able to recover my moms car by chasing him around my neighbor hood. Not the smartest idea, but I am just tired of these lazy thieves stealing things from my house.

Time for a kill switch.

Least you got it back.  I have chased people down the street.  You're right dumb and unsafe.  In the heat of the moment it is hard not to though.

Some guy raced up on my tail and passed me in a school zone.  After the school zone I stomped it and caught him.  Put on my LED flashers and he pulled over.  Ha.

I straightened him out.

I am just tired of these lazy thieves stealing things from my house.
Then have your mom do something about not being lazy herself and at the least have her get a steering wheel club or install a car alarm. Stop giving crack heads the opportunity to mess with you guys.

Here, I've even taken the laziness out of it for you guys: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000CBILL/ (has a self-locking feature for lazy car owners).

Ps. Glad you weren't injured and you got the car back!

Pss. I'm not trying to offend you or your mom, I just really dislike seeing cars stolen so easily (from a driveway while the owners are home even) when just a little bit of effort can prevent this from happening (it's happened twice to you guys in less than 10 months!)
