Finally got a job!

Well I finally got a job after getting laid off at the end of October.  I know many people have been out of work way longer than I, but this shows that the job market is really turning around.

I'm taking a job in the Riverside, CA area servicing sterilization equipment in hospitals for a company called Belimed.  They're setting me up with a work van, company card and stuff to set up my own home office!  I'm really excited since this means the wifey and I can finally sell our condo and buy a house since housing is so much cheaper up there than S.D.   - Of course this does mean that we will be moving into my parents house temporarily until our condo sells and we buy a house.

Thanks.  I'm going to be selling off or giving away a bunch of stuff before the move.  Need to sell my '87 2wd pickup soon too......

I think this is funny...it shows how personal perception is! Last week...when you didn't have a job, the market was in the tank. Now that you have a job...everything is coming up roses! I guess it's all in who you ask and when you ask them!

Yeah, no joke Nate.  I'm probably going to buy a '05 or '06 tundra quad cab once we get into a house though.  I won't be worried as much about mileage if I hardly ever drive it.

I don't know how many of you guys believe in the power of prayer, but God is definately setting things up nicely for us - things that are definately out of our control.  Example: the 5 yr. freeway extension project with on ramps and off ramps that are close to our condo is going to be open about the same time we list our condo for sale - which should mean an increase in property value!

My thoughts too Stocker.  I love my parents dearly, but I'm 34 and married now and I've been out of the house since I was 17 - and they can be overbearing at times.  I think I can deal with them, but I pray my wife has enough patience  :crossed:, otherwise it's going to be a living hell for a while  :maddest:

I don't believe in prayer myself but never try to tell others they shouldn't, though I do think people don't give themselves enough credit for their own hard work and determination  :thumbs:

Rocksurfer, we are primarily looking at Murrieta or Menifee for houses, mainly because my wife wants to transfer locations for her job and they have locations in Murrieta - plus my parents live there.  Thanks for thinking of us though!

Canyon Lake is just West of Menifee, pretty nice area there too. My daughter lived in Menifee for a while not too bad there either.
