I.F.S. and Hydro Steer
« on: May 17, 2003, 03:47:33 AM »
Has anyone ever run Hydraulic steering on an IFS rig? The only problem that I can foresee is mounting the ram. Also, If I run Hydro on my IFS, will I have to make any mods to it, that will make me have to get a new hydrosystem when I go SAS? :chug: :chug:

mounting the ram is the easy part just put it on the center link.  but the bad part is just how long do you think those tie-rod ends will hold up to the additional strain? Then of course there is the issue of the idler arm life going down to nothing :ack: It would be cool to see someone make it work w/o killing everything but I cant see it happening.
Good Luck
