no more longfields..

I honestly never really looked into seeing what he did but it amazes me nobody else has done the same. Are they really stronger than the marfields?

well mike was talking about how the marfeild is too hard and the mfgr would not work on the heat treatment on the marfeild so they were going to sell bobbys and stop selling marfeilds..guess maybe marlin should rethink that option now that bobbys gett'n out... :down

aren't the marfields and the newfields the same product/same manuf?

I went thru 3-4 of the newfields and gave up.  George made some changes, and even created some with a welded ring, but never heard on their longevity/strength after that.  I know a "certain competitor" opted to continue running Longfields and not risk the Newfield experiments.

Also, in that same thread, Alan at RBS commented on an offering thru him...hopefully something pans out.

Yeah that't what I am getting out of it too. I think it'll be easier on Bobby, won't have to deal with it anymore. I'm hoping the cost will still be in the $200 range outright, sucks that they aren't going to be taking cores but they probably warrantied birfs that had unseen damage before he worked his magic and it sucks to warranty a problem that was there beforehand.

It looks like Rockbuggy Supply will be dealing these new longfields, as well as Camo wear. But somewhere in the thread I thought I saw that Marlin would also be dealing these items. Can this be confirmed?

I still have a ton of questions regarding the new deal.

1.) Big Mike? Ye or No, will Marlin be selling Longfields?
2.) If inners are available (this thread is the first that I have seen anyone say so), how much, and will there be a core, and will Marlin sell these?
3.) How about other birfields, I.E. will there still be fj80 Long available?
4.) What about fj80 inners?

What will still be available, and what will Marlin be selling?

Big Mike? Anybody? I would really rather not tie up Bobbies phone lines with these types of questions, as I am sure he is a fairly busy man right now.

Well I am adding all of the stuff that we sell that has never ever been online, and I was confirming pricing on everything and Marlin didnt tell me that we had stoped selling Longfields. Apparently, 1) we are still selling them for 2) $215 each with No Core and No Warranty. 3) no info 4) dont know

Regards,
BigMike

We have inner axle shaft that we sell. I have them for 79-85 truck, 30 pline FJ40 and FJ60. We are out of stock and waiting for more orders before another order will be placed. The pair sells for $259.
