Thanks Kyle. I can get my pictures downloaded, but I wish we had more than one computer, or I'd play with then in PhotoShop/Picassa.

I love sunrise better than sunsets.  But I always seem to be at work when the light is best.  Never on my days off, but then I'm still in bed when that happens.   :hammer:

That's one thing I wish I had time for.  Is to run my photos through photochop/picassa and edit them.  I'd like to get a computer that is strictly just for our photography.  Since my wife, boys and me are always downloading pics.  And with one computer at the house, it gets kinda crazy cause everybody wants to use it.

from my phone

Not to be an ass, but that has no right being in the same thread as some of these pics... This is about PHOTOGRAPHY, not, cell phone quality shitty pictures...

Just sayin

 :twocents:

EDIT: It really just has no value at all of being a good photo whatsoever... There are some really good photos taken on a cell phone but this has no good qualities at all... Its centered, not really a good angle, background isnt that great, lawnmower is for some reason in it... Its not a any random picture thread, its about photos that are very well put together........
RIP Kyota.... you are the man

Good shot but watch your exposure, also try not to center your subject, look up the rule of 3rds.

Agree, with your edit also.

Nice, might do a top left crop for a little bit less river, more subject off to the right.

Nice. Quick question on the black and white.. I haven't dabbled too much in B&W but my question is, If you want the B&W effect is it better to shoot in B&W or Change it ti B&W in photoshop? Are there any differences? The way I see it, if I take a color photo then I havre the option of both color or B&W if I want..  :dunno:

i could be wrong, but i shoot everything in RAW, and then change it to black and white with a B&W adjustment layer in PS.  This allows for independent adjustment of each color to its respective shade of grey.  Theres a bunch of different ways to do it, but i would stay away from just desaturating it...this tends to flatten everything out and destroy contrast.

The shots above were shot with the in camera "Monochrome" setting with a blue digital filter and contrast +2
However, that is not how I do black and white if I'm doing a professional shoot, but for family gatherings it works and saves me the editing time. (those are straight off the camera)
