YES!!
the east side of the Trinities is crowded. Around the Swift Creek area near Trinity Center is the worst. I go in on the west entrance parallel to Hoopa. There are fewer people and the trail in is covered with deadfall. As a result, no horses go in and very few people. The trail in is a PITA but it is worth it. The only real problem is parking your rig at the trailhead. A few years back a couple of kids thought it was cool to smash in the window and throw in a lit flare
At least they caught the guys.
I have an old VW vanagon I drive to hike in spots. I don't care if they burn it to the ground. My only problem would be getting a ride back home. ahhah
