This is already a feature. Posts are not deleted when you unsubscribe.

For instance, if you were subscribed to this thread but no longer wish to receive notifications from it, simply click on the "Notify" link at the top or the bottom of each thread located directly to the right of the "Reply" link.

If you are already receiving notifications to a thread, it will prompt with the following message:

Code: [Select]

Are you sure you wish to disable notification of new replies for this topic?
If you are NOT receiving notifications to a thread, it will prompt with the following message:

Code: [Select]

Are you sure you wish to enable notification of new replies for this topic?
I think by default you will receive notifications automatically for a thread you started, but the process to disable notifications should be the same. Otherwise just click to enable and then click to disable.

I usually read all the posts I want to, then hit the "MARK ALL MESSAGES AS READ" button and poof, gone!!

That way you don't have to go through each and every post to click on notify!

Hey Mike, some of the posts that I reply to, or I post a topic, don't always show up in the "New replies to your posts" link, but they will show up in the "unread posts since last visit" link.

I tried that notify button and could not for the life of me get it to work. Still popped up in new replies no matter what setting the notify button was on.

Any word on having the section links working like they did before? If I'm in the "Chit Chat" & want to goto the "Rig Gallery" you could click on the "Around and About" link & goto the "Around and About" section. Right now it take you to the top of the page everytime.

Also how about adding a link to the PM section. When I get a PM notification by email & click on the link to reply, it takes me to reply to the PM. After I send the PM I can't goto the forum section cause there's no link (unless I'm missing it). I have to open a new session to get to the forum.

For example at the top of the page you have

Marlin Crawler - Online Forum > Around and About > Chit Chat Camp (Moderators: FFC, crazywb, Lady Di)

If you are in "Chit Chat Camp" and you wanted to goto "Rig Gallery" which is still in the "Around and About" section, you could click on "Around and About" and it would take you back to that section. Now if you click on "Around and About" you go back to the top of the page. It does this for all sections now.

I was talking about when you get an email that you have a PM. When you copy & paste to reply, it takes you to reply to the PM. After you send your response there is no link to take you to the forum. But I now see the "Home" link that you click to get to the forum so disregard this request

Hey guys

I spent some time just now working on browser compatibility, specifically with Apple Safari v3 and Opera v9.

I now have the main content displaying in the main content region, however there is still a repeating background issue when a sidebar is longer (taller) than the main content in these two particular browsers.

Please see the following screen shot for information.

Mozilla Firefox v2 and v3, and Microsoft Internet Explorer v6 and v7 are NOT affected

I also have that strange gap between the two footer images that needs to be corrected, again, this problem NOT found in Ff or IE.

Also, I mentioned in reply #29 at the bottom of page 1 that I am using an old school table layout. Well, I must have had too much kool-aid that day because this is incorrect. I built the site with the better, faster loading DIV layout.

Actually I noticed on Monday there was a strange formatting on the front page. Ummmmmmmmm I think I just may have overwritten the good version with a slightly older version that did not contain the bug fix.

Now I need to research again and see what I did to fix it

Just created an userid for the store

Didn't ask for password when creating. So I clicked on 'forgot/new password'

Haven't got any reply. (and no, it's not in the spam folder)

So I tried recreating userid...... Said I already existed...... So clicked on 'forgot/new password' again...

Still no reply.

Placed order without logging in, got reply from order right away....

Still no reply about password

....Interesting. Are you using the same email as the one with your forum account here? I'll look into what is going on.

In other news, I am working on upgrading our entire site to Drupal version 6.x, and I've already recreated our Theme into a vastly cross platform friendly layout that should work with all browsers and cell phones alike. The newer version of Drupal will provide additional performance improvements as well as increased marketing flexibility which I am very excited about. It is just a LOT of work to get everything crossed over because I want it done right; I am starting over from scratch. The current website was a complete learning curve for me and I want to apply all I've learned to make the most stable and user friendly experience possible for our customers. I have a running version here locally but I won't really get time to finish it until next weekend (July 18-19). Stay tuned for a vastly improved Marlin Crawler experience!
