$35-$40 for a 2-stage thermostat, Toyota P/N: 90916-03070

The stock is thermostat listed for my '85 22RE is #90916-03078

TSB: 029032787 22R-E Engine Temperature Overshoot

    It says:

Some 1984 pickup trucks and 1983-1984 Celica models, equipped with 22R-E engines, may experience a condition called "temperature gauge overshoot". After starting a cold engine the temperature gauge will indicate a higher than normal engine temperature for a short time just prior to the thermostat opening. After the thermostat opens, the temperature gauge will return to the normal range. A new double valve thermostat has been made available to reduce temperature gauge overshoot.

And calls for part number 90916-03070 which according to the TSB replaces 90916-03055.

for putting a  V6 detroit carrier  in a 4 cylinder diff housing

hi khagerty--
Yes...you can adapt your V6 DSL to fit in the 4 cylinder 3rd by using "adapter carrier bearings" part number 32010X by Timken. I think http://www.greatlakeoffroad.com/ sells them.

2001 4Runner 3.4L

Here is the Toyota part number for the wires: 19037-62010
Here is the Toyota part number for the spark plugs: 90919-01192

The wires should be correct for ALL 3.4L V6s, double check the plugs unless you have an 01.

Not a Toyota part number but If you cant find Toyota injector harness pig tails to replace the ones that are so easely broked on 22re injectors here is a general motors part number with better weather seal boot that will work.
I used these to replace all 5 of the injector plugs on my truck while I was doing the engine swap they will also work for about half of the other sensors on the engiine.

GM part # 12085491

Discription: Connector

This is the part # for the bolts that attach the fuel lines to the fuel filter on a 22RE. Toyota calls them  bolt, union but they are called banjo bolts.

Part # 90401-12097

Good reference to look up any Toyota vehicles on this Toyota Part Factory Catalog
Give you list prices, pictures and part numbers. Also a good source as a semi service manual on where bolt and connect parts to.

Discription: Connector
on toyota and lexus connector they usually have a five number stamp on the back of them and if you ad this other five number in front 90980-xxxxx is usually the part number for that connector not all connectors have those five numbers

And if your looking for anything else, go to ToyoDIY.com.  They have all the parts microfiche and parts numbers that you should need.  The only thing it doesn't tell you is if a part superseeds to a different number.

I need to find all the parts and/or numbers for a 22R emission stuff.  Previous owner yanked it all and I need to put back on to pass emissions.
Build it right or get off the trail
