I would say the 3RD gen's,  92-95,  the 22re got more power,  already wider rear axle,  already high steer box,  4DOORS (4runner finatic),  bigger clutch, better cooling controls, and POWER everything,  can sleep better in a 3rd gen, runner than a 2nd gen,  The 4th generation frames are weaker,  and rack and pinion sucks,  IMO
95 4 runner. 4 cyl dual ultimate w. R150.  V6 rear w spool.  New Chevy springs on 12" extended frame.      Front.  SAS w chromoly shafts.  And spartan    In frazier park ca 93225

It's just my personal preference that a Round body Hilux looks better with Round head lights. Round fenders, round lights.

Square head lights are for square trucks such as 2nd gen trucks

hmmm...you just called my truck a SQUARE?! :tantrum:

i'd say 1st gen. switching to efi would be simpler than doing an sas.

i can do an sas in a day.. if you think you can do a EFI swap quicker than that you must be a better mechanic and electrition than me

I they are all the same besides the fact that 85 and on have efi you still have to do all the same work to all of them to really build them.  The only difference is you don't have to drill shackle holes in the pre 85s or buy a front axle but you do have to buy a rear.  I vote for 85+ but I think the 3rd gen trucks are tits
