Is it safe to use a mounting system that attaches to the back of the t-case instead of between the case and transmission? Or would this cause too much stress? And what if I tossed an MC09 setup in to boot. This is '98 2.7 auto Taco drivetrain.

depending on what you wanna do with it and how you drive it, not unless you drive like grandpa jones!
that is a lot of room from the motor mounts to the transfer already adding more to it would not be a great idea by relocating it all the way in the back w/ a dual setup.

this is what can be done to a th350 with the stock mount and local i need to put a mount in the stock location on the trans
