Trying to make the round up... swapping everything from my rig to an extended cab. I'm 6'7 so I need the leg room in my old age. Since I have to address the front end was thinking on doing links instead of another plan Jane sas

I think you really want to do links so would suggest that you dig in with a willingness to find a ride to the roundup if necessary. There's going to another roundup.
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

Well I wouldn't deny wanting to do links. But I just want to hear if someone has ran both and can give me an unbiased opinion

A sas is plan Jane but that with rear links does great. What about skipping the alcans and do a super cheap sas with the rear linked for the summer. Then takle the three link in the winter if you don't like the leafs.

Iv had leafs up front for 10 years, just want something better. I would prefer links up front over the rear. I always maxed out my front first with leafs

I think you're too focused on flex. In my mind the advantage of links is that it eliminates axle wrap.  This is a huge advantage in the rear. I did a traction bar on mine for this reason.

If anyone hears of someone selling an R150F out of a 3.0 Toyota send them my way :) thank you, I have lots of parts I could trade or I could just buy it with cash. I have an R155F bell housing and a marlin adapter to mate the R150F to a RF1A dual t-case.

It looks like you a set on going links. Don't let time be the deciding factor on the conversion. I just went to a 3 link on the front of my 85 after being in leafs for about 7 years. I wanted to do the 4WU brackets but I have a bit of a unique drivetrain that prevented me from doing so. I had to put together various parts and make some others. So far I like what I have. We shall see if it was worth it tomorrow on its shakedown.

I swapped in an A340 and an AtlasII. The upper frame mount would not clear  the Atlas. His kits were designed around Toyota transfer cases.

Hello all, hopefully I am back for good. Have been busy with new job, new house, getting married and finishing school.  Also got hooked on boost and diesels have two 12 valve swaps going on. One is an 1986 suburban that will be my wife's mommymobil, other is a 1995 Chevy K2500. My 1986 Ext. Cab Toyota has been SAS and the 3rz is planted in there as of last night. Parts are on order, and waiting on some other parts to become available. Rear 4 link from Ruffstuff and just rear springs up front for now. Ill get some pictures of the Toyotas progress, but here's a couple of the others.

Haven't started any lol. Burb is close to complete. Ill need the wife to get me the photos, as I am terrible at taking photos of anything. The K2500 is in beginning stage/collecting parts. I got bored and hard everything laying around for the Toy so I wanted to get that going so hopefully enjoy it this summer.

Atleast the k is already lifted. That saves a major pain on oil pan clearance. I did a 96 3500 crew cab a year years back but sold it like a dummy.

The K will be getting a steering 14 bolt with Dana 60 Outers, with a 3 link front with coil overs. I still need to press the new tubes in and weld the C's on. But other then that I have everything sitting in piles. The burb has GM 60 up front w/ Ox locker, 14 bff in the rear with Detroit, 180 hp 12v with a 47re. Just need to get the AC working and finish up the shift cables.
