Another project 77 chinook
« on: Apr 02, 2017, 08:49:52 AM »
Hi guys just bought a few months ago a new project, can't finish the 1gen crawler bc of family but still bought a chinook bc I could let it pass me by

All I have done is gut the camper, it was already cleaned out but the previous owner, so Im going  to insolate it and install new cabnits. Then convert it to 4x4, I already have a 1gen cab, but I am looking for a 1gen 4x4 long bed frame

The cab is not bad at all, a little rust in side the cab floor panels and cab has been painter over but it's good and not beat up. I'm not sure what I'll do with the cab but if I get the 4x4 long bed frame I'll give them the cab if they want it . But keeping the vin

The whole camper was gutted, the seat are out of some van, the seat are up so high my legs where rubbing on the steering wheel when I do it home. I might have the a.c. but I haven't really looked into yet,  all I know it drives well , haven't had much time to work on it bc 3 and 1 year old not allowing me too

You should keep the 77 cab on it. Those are much cooler than a 1st gen.
83 long bed 2wd sas, 3rz, w56, duals with 4.7 rear, 4.88 elock front, spartan rear, 39.5 iroks
01 double cab hunting truck
06 tacoma street truck

I have a few 1st gens myself I love them. But the early hilux just has that cool factor.

I agree with Redneckcustoms I would keep the OG Hilux body on this. There's a few people that have turned them into 4wd's that came out extremely well. These old Chinooks are really special and awesome platforms. Maybe one of these days I will be able to own one of these beauties. Also, I know this post is two years old but hey  :_order:
