Yes it is an Engnbldr cam. He even recommended it to me based on how my engine was setup. Ted's a great guy, but it's hard to be the stock cam.

Did you get your 261 directly from ENGNBLDR? There's a lot of imposters on eBay according to Tod..
Since i installed the cam, my torque range is from about 1750 through 4250 ish.. on Gnarly's rebuild post we debated this, and I'm still waiting to get an actual dyno, but that's what my butt dyno says haha..

Like i said, different strokes ya know. You can say I'm wrong all day but that doesn't make it so.

Once i get the dyno, I'll either be buying a different cam or I'll be really happy..

If you're happy why would having dyno numbers on paper change that?

Because if my cam is causing me to only have 85 HP or something, I'll be upset haha..

I dunno, I'll probably just keep what I've got

If you're happy then I would suggest not finding out and risking your joy.

Machinest says the block is virgin(never been bored or milled), no cracks. Crank is fine. However, the head was milled .040 too much from the last guy. Have to buy a new head and swap over all the valves n such. Of course, all new rods

Exactly!!! Got it all buttoned up except for the hood. Hit the ignition and click, click. Upon some investigating, the motor is locked up. I even put the long ratchet and socket directly on the crank. The only thing that went on that i am second guessing is the new marlin clutch and flywheel that i installed. This is only a guess. I'm wondering if the old fly wheel may have been a little thicker and took up a millimeter or two. For it to be locked up solid like this, i gotta hunch it may be the flywheel bolts hitting the block. I'll pull the motor in the morning. To be continued....

theres 2 bolts that hold steel plate on, the plate that on before the flywheel, those bolt heads are thinner then most. could be hanging up on flywheel

I didn't think to check if it turned after putting the plate and and clutch assy. I should have just because thats what i should have done. @ovrarok i totally forgot about those thinner headed bolts. I bet you're right

I re read my initial post and i should have worded it a bit different. It reads as if i was blaming the clutch. I was just brainstorming. Thanks ovrarok for bringing that bit of info to my attention. Sho nuff, it was that stinkin bolt. I just trimmed it a little and back in we go...
Oh, and Snowtoy, i did turn the motor this time
