So is this the new Drotor kit from FROR or something else?

I cannot honestly answer that as I don't know what a Drotor is.  I ordered the axle as a complete set-up.

It's good to know about another e-brake option for still wanting disc brakes

I hear you.
I wasn't having much luck finding the necessary parts after I had placed my order with FROR/ Diamond.

I will need to be creative with the ends of the e-brake cables in that these are a bit longer than what I now have due to my being a regular cab short bed.

I foresee a bit of McGyver'ing which is not a problem.

There is a bracket on backorder that these cables use at the termination point.  So the e-brake being functional will have to wait till next weekend.

... so I installed the Diamond today.

Some 'things' came up that I had not thrice knew/ known or thought of. There are differences in the axle splines per axle at each end.  As I purchased an assembled axle, drive flange included, I did get the 'C' clip keepers on the axles yesterday to get ahead of what happened today.
I quickly found out that the axle will not push through the drive flange all the way to the 3rd.  The splines that go into the 3rd are different than those of the drive flange, no worries.  I had to remove the 'C' clip, install the drive flange THEN install the 'C' clip and then stuff into the 3rd.  I'll call this trial and error as I didn't receive instructions.

The FJ Cruiser parking brake lines are solid.  I will say, as I now have a non-functional p-brake, the PS is close to OEM Tacoma length... the DS is friggin' long.  I need to outsource this portion to be complete.

I did McGyver some of the supplied OEM clamps on each line to route them accordingly.  At this time, they ends are zip tied next to the inside frame rail until I get time to make them operable.

The install was flawless until I attempted to install the inside DS U-bolt.  The welded hard brake line tab was outward 3/4" more than the PS which created a conflict.  I made the modification with a crescent wrench, bending the tab counter-clockwise and the end result was a victory.

My truck stops on a dime and gives change, period.  The Wilwood proportioning valve is a must for guys looking to eliminate the OEM garbage.

Any questions, let's hear them.

Drotor is the name Brian used for their Disc conversion which has an internal drum style e-brake.

Here are more photos after completion.

I do have a small brake fluid leak at the top of the 'T' where the old extended brake line attaches.  I just ordered a 26" extended brake line from MC.  Installing it will cure this issue.

I am stoked on how well this swap turned out.

The brakes are awesome, only to get better once the pads work in.

Installing this rear axle did raise the truck in the rear a bit.  The axle tubes are larger, 3-5/8" DOM @ .375 wall thickness, than OEM.  It actually sits level now.

Thanks for the replies.

I am still waiting on the bracket but did receive this.
Once the cables are into the bracket, the cable ends slip into this piece.  I might need to extend the threaded portion to get to the OEM lever configuration.

We'll see.

Happy Christmas Eve to all...

I now have the bracket which the cable housing ends separately clip into.

Once this rain stops, I'll get into the shop and install it.

So I finally finished with the parking brake functionality.

I did not use the bracket I ordered, it simply would not fit between the inside of the frame and fuel tank.

I did make one from 1/8" plate.  It is 3"x4", bent on a break 1.5" on the 3" side.  The holes for the cable ends are 9/16".
This bracket is bolted to the OEM parking brake bracket location.  I did need to grind down the side closest to the tank for added clearance.

The DS FJ cable housing was shortened 32" and I used heat shrink to get the two pieces back together.  The PS cable was right on point in length.

I removed 1" of the threads on the 'T' bracket and the metric all-thread is 14.5" in length.  This requires 3 flange nuts to complete.

Everything works great now.  The cable routing is great and does allow flex.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

So it's been a while since I installed the Diamond axle and fabbed some stuff to get the parking brake functional.

The axle install went smooth but, getting the FJ cables to a termination point and that point to function with the OEM pivot, well that took time to figure out... I'm not an engineer.

The PS cable is in use at its original length.  The DS I had to shorten up IIRC 14". I made a bracket that each cable poked in to. Bolted the bracket in an OEM location between the frame and fuel tank.
What is cool is the FJ cables had crimped tab locations w/ tabs that bolted to my OEM locations. In fact, there were too many so I had to remove several.

I am glad to say that all is functional and works well.  The truck holds on an incline as expected.

If anyone needs exact numbers to get theirs working , let me know.

I recently installed a BudBuilt trac bar.  It works very well.
I'm a RC so I had to shorten it 10" at the diff end of the bar. I opted for the weld on version. I highly recommend this item.

Been a while since an up-date:
The Bud Built trac bar is great. The supplied HIEM did not allow much articulation (see pic below), so I went with a larger unit and a pair of mis-alignment spacers. All good there. It now flexes as it should.
I did up-grade to a better rear shock. FOX 12". The compression/ rebound bypasses are set to the softer setting. Feels better than before.
