k5's 2nd try at a 4runner - 1986
« on: May 12, 2016, 08:48:53 AM »
Well its not much of a project rig, but I wanted something more trail friendly. So I bought a built 4runner from a buddy who hasn't even registered it in 8 years.

86 4runner, SAS'd, 5.29s with ARBs, all pro front springs, 63"s with johnny joints in the rear, dual inchworm cases with 4.7 in back case and a slamming stereo system on 39" IROKs

Is there any loopholes to get around the dyno smog with the big tires?

Are the Yokohama's going on after the Irok's  ?  That was the tire I was going with until the last min. only because of the directional tread. Clean looking runner

Yes, the 39.5s are just too big, and I lost street drivability. I drove it with the 38s and it is night and day difference. I can actually use 5th gear again!!!
