Im trying to gather some information on a build of mine that I've started on. After some research Ive came to the conclusion that what I have is an original MC01 transfer case doubler unit. After looking at the other "very few" pictures and information of the MC01, I am still unsure of what's inside this unit such as gearing or bearings, which I would like to know. A Little history about my build. I have a 1989 4Runner 3.0 v6 with a SAS ,Dual transfer case which I'm assuming is an original Marlin MC01, unsure yet if the previous owner has done a 4.7 gear swap on one of the cases. I will have to figure that out first before I can figure out my end gear ratio,Hydro assist steering, 5:29 diff gears F/R, LC front high pinion, Long field axles around, Arb air lockers F/R. still running 35's. Basically just looking for some information on this MC01 if any one has any, as there is very little out there. The unit seems to be working correctly, I've heard rumors that only 10 were built and all have failed but yet here is one still working (if it is still in fact an MC01)... that's how rumors go. If anyone can share some information. That would be very helpful. I can't post attachments yet but would be willing to share via email .... @Bigmike or others to gather some more info. Im active on yotatech, but just recently found out about this forum, which I wish I knew existed a couple of years ago as is would have saved me a lot of headache on other issue during this build over the last 2 years, Thanks all.
