Looks good. Glad you were able to track down the right parts.  Did you end up using the Ifs flange or s.a. Was just looking through the link to do it but not looking forward to breaking it down to do it. Coming along great. Keep the pictures coming I'm right behind you on my build . They all help, like they say a picture is worth a thousand words. And it's damb sure true when working somethings out for the first time

I just used the SA flange because it does have more of a working angle over the IFS. I should have it in this weekend. Also got my metal for my rear shock towers finally so I need to fab that up. Also got all my parts for my on board air system. Man the list goes on and on. Lol

So I put shaft on today and the bolt holes for the t case flange matched right up, no drilling was necessary.  Was a pretty easy job lol

I don't like that I don't really have much room in the yoke to slide out so I think I might get a custom shaft made for me in the near future. But this shaft was free can't beat it.

After talking to the wife to be about not having rear shocks, late last night she surprised me with this,

Than she said " you better have shocks on next time I ride in the truck" haha gotta love a chick like that.

Don't be suprised when you pull that front shaft apart if you hit a bump too hard or flex the truck out.
Nice looking work!  Your wife getting you the shock bar is awesome!

With the short spline' s you probably aren't goin to go out crawling but it should give you enough to use your 4wd for the time being. But at least when u are ready to have an extended shaft made you already have a newly rebuilt and clearenced Cv to use.

Also thought of a cool idea, I am sure its been done before, I put a Grease fitting on both knuckles to pump grease into the knuckles.

This should be in it's own thread... I've never seen anyone put grease fittings on their knuckles before! Great idea!!!!
Only thing... How do you know their full without blowing out the seals?

Found your SOLUTION!
It's called a grease pressure relief valve!

That's just one place that sells them, but you can get them that open at 1psi! Effectively saving your seals!

I read here that
Quote
Grease guns can produce over 15,000 psi while lip seals can fail at 500 psi.

Hope this isn't useless info! Really liking this build so far!

Finally had some time to do some work this Saturday to the yota. So the old/new driveshaft was way to short and the first drive home with it is fell apart lol. So a temporary fix was a must. So I built a square driveshaft. Turned out pretty well.

So my power steering pump is leaking like no other, gotta put fluid in it every 2 days. I will replace it but not sure what I want to do yet. I want the TG pump kit but don't want to spend the money. But will a stock pump turn my 35s easily ? I haven't wheeled the truck yet due to weather so I don't really know what the stock pump can or can't do. But also like the idea of a remote revisor/filter.

Open front and rear. Waiting to find a good deal on e lockers. And when I do have a front locker I probably won't use it unless it is needed. Just cause you can't really steer lol. My father in-laws jeep is impossible to steer with the front locked. I'll probably just go with a stock pump. I mean there $55 if it doesn't work oh well, sounds like it will work tho.

do you know for sure its the original third for that truck?  if so, you can check the drivers door jam, should be a vin plate, look for something that says "a/tm" next to it as an example, would be "g292/w56"  this would denote to g=8.0 gear, 29=4.10 ratio, 2= 2 pinion open diff. if the third is out you could mark gears, and count teeth as well

Not sure but pretty sure, the truck is all stock, I diff isn't out or I would just count it, also would it be a straight bolt up the my axle housing ? Still learning here haha
