Longfields or RCVs?

Either way.  Mike has been trying to sell me his original longfields for a decent deal.  I am going to get them most likely.  The thing that sucks about those is he doesnt have the original recipt of purchase so if i ever break one i will have to hunt one down to replace it.    My buddy can get me a deal on a set of new rcvs, but they are still more expensive, and this truck needs to be finished somewhat cheaply

You'll blow the hubs before you break the rcv's.  Get the cromo hub gears and drive worry free, or as close as you'll get.

Got my new wheel today. SO now i just need to sneak down to america's tire and have one 37" krawler dismounted and then my two 37" mtr's mounted and balanced, and one other mtr flipped on the rim becuase it was mounted backwards.  Anyone want to buy a krawler?

I have not really got anything done on this truck lately.

I need to pick up some metal to make some bumpers/sliders, and i need to buy these deaver springs off my buddy so i can get the rear suspension dialed in.  Plan is to move the axle back a little bit and lose the retarded shackles that were back there.

Thats one sexy truck, moving the axle back a few inches will be perfect.

Thanks.  I only plan to move the axle back like an inch or so. Just a little.  Or i might keep it where it is and just trim the fenders more in the front. Havent decided yet.

The deavers are like 61.5" so its almost like trying to run 63" chevys. I will only be able to move my axle back so far before i run out of frame to do the shackle hangers.

Oh and i registered for mcr today.  Pressure is on to get this thing going!!

I dont dont i havent measured yet.  I always liked how my 4runner did and it was 108"-109".   Don't these extra cabs usually come out to around 125" ?

Picked up these deaver springs today.

Look at these suckers compaired to a like new set of tg 4" front springs!  The deavers are much softer it seems from just standing on top of them.

Now i just need to get some spring hangers, shackles, ubolt flip kit and i can mount these springs.

Once i do that i plan to pull all the leafs except for the main leafs and cycle the suspension with the floor jack.  That should make it easy to set bumpstops at the perfect height and mount shocks so i get maximum travel out of these spring packs.  I am sure i will have to play around with shackle length to get a ride height that matches the front.

Got my sliders welded on yesterday.

Busted the high lift out and measured for shocks.   12" travel will work perfect for the front so i mounted my one shock.  Will get the driver side shock on after i move my ifs box forward.  Dont wanna get welding spatter on my shocks.

Also finished welding my bed up so making some progress!
