Love the warthog....love the one in halo....also one of the best movies I've seen in a while as far as videogame....

I don't want to trailer mine....I prefer to run what I bring. If I did I would borrow a truck for the event and that way I can haul a welder/generator and tools and really get after it but still drive Monday morning....losses my jeep buddies off when we wheel I go over nasty stuff they can't and then they load there's up I air up and drive home....

Thanks, we are putting our blood, sweat and tears into it.

Ya I know the feeling. I love having the ability to wheel and then simply slip the rig into 2H and cruise home. I am sure I will keep mine street legal for a long time after I have a daily. However, depending on the distance, it is nice to tow the rig to and from wheeling locations. On an odd note what MPG do you get? Motor?

WOW!!!! That's amazing MPG for a Crawler...I get about 15 HWY and 13 in town right now and I expect it to go down after my SAS. I have a heavy foot and get to speed relatively quickly too, love the feeling of G'Forces. I am going to run the same tires (and size) as you only the previous generation. I'm gonna guess you have the 3.4L in your Tacoma, since it's an '03.

Yeah 3.4 it doesn't struggle at all...5:29 gears and lighter 37" tires helps-

I got the 3.4 in mine as well; but I am running 5.13 gears in mine... hopefully it gets the job done.

So took the old transmission mount out and cut what was left of the rubber mounts off....ground em down threw some 1.5 .120 tube with leaf spring poly bushings in....
Called dealer and even at shop price the new Mount was too expensive....so after chatting with Brian at 4WU and eric at Yotamasters I made these....

Knew what I needed to do just called them to see of they knew of any I'll effects long term to doing this...eric has been running g a pro,y Mount tranny and chain end front stock motomounts for 11 years now no issues....good enough for me....

Cut 7/8" off the tranny mount on TG skid side ,lowering the transmission away from the tunnel....did a 3" hole below tcase for a quick access to the drain so no need to remove skid.
started rear battery tray (Artec) and made the tubes and started welding...it'll be in place tomorrow.
Will be a nice finished off look....

So started with a clean area and made a home for the battery....was good to get it out of the front and open it up.....
Moved the fuse box sideways and against the support to open up....

So added some better terminals a battery cut off switch and a starter cutoff as well...I wired the alarm of another constant power well as fuse box for memory so no loss there and someone can't cut power to mess with it...

I will put a cap for the battery switch that will keep it from being touched while daily driving then wheeling I will open access to t for quick shutoff should I roll or have a issue....

Also took it out on a little rougher run and its about time for a cage...its definently smooth the faster it goes and floats over stuff....

I tried em out at the welding shop before buying em....you can also get precription made lenses for them or spot lenses.....
The kit comes with a doorag looking head piece to keep you from burning your face....it fits ,like a glove and simple but works amazing. I welded without it at first and my forehead...its miller blue...so you look like blueman group got mixxed with cyclops....lol

Thanks it needs a little more tuning but works well for a leaf spring truck....don't think I'll be linking for a bit...this just flat out works and is fast so far....

Wired the lights up today then took it out to aim them...
1 main reason I wanted to mount the light back a bit was to eliminate light scatter in dust and hood right on front of the windshield. As yo can see the hood is dark....which s a good thing...no matter what color your rig is its white and or dusty when its lit up by dust and light scatter right in front of you....
By setting it back it gives you a area of shadow to eliminate the scatter right in front of the windshield....
Iva had em up front and laid back on my old race track and prerunners...from experience I'll set them back or make a shadow blind to make a dark spot right front of me.

That is good to know.  Ive never had one up high like that.  I like the reasoning, I just hate putting weight up high.  I even like to take the headliner out.  10lbs on the roof always feels huge in COG.  What brand light bars?

Outlaw led 10 watt
I went this way because I like the large optics, has a better pattern and also a dealer for them as well as Baja designs just can't swing that much money for them....even dealer cost is PRICEY....
this large optic design throws more light then the double row Chinese stuff and doesn't look like a diamond bracelet from all the small optics...lol those remind me of diamond tennis bracelets....

I am the same way...hate weight up high...exo cages make me cringe from weight up high and swaying...

The tubes on the rack are 1" main bars are .095 and cross are .065 so structuraly  sound but it is a real light weight rack. The light itself isn't to heavy either...and being a minimilist rack its not heavy....

The truck is actually built pretty light.....120 wall on main and .095 on other non structural along with the battery tray is 1" .095....

Something carried over from off road race trucks.....watch the weight and use solid stuff where its I port ant and lighter where you can.

Slapped some 40s on so we will see how everything holds up.
Tubbed about 4" out of the fender well, modified the rear carrier and will do a new design to the carrier.
