  YOU WILL NEED A TOW ROPE AND TOW POINTS!!!!!

Well guys and gals, its that time again: MARLIN's 6TH ANNUAL R/C EVENT

 YOU WILL NEED A TOW ROPE!!!!!


 This year looks like we are going to run a team crawl event.
 Teams will be picked at random to be fair to others.
 2-3 trucks per team, depending of how many people sign up.
There will be 3-4 different courses of 4-6 gates each.
 You WILL need a tow rope ,string, shoelace, of some kind  maximum of 10 feet long. Did i say..... YOU WILL NEED A TOW ROPE!!!!!
 or AND A WORKING WINCH. YOU WILL NEED A TOW ROPE AND TOW POINTS!!!!!
 This will be a timed event and you need to get all your team mates through the gates, no matter where they are OR HOW YOU MIGHT HAVE TO GET TO THEM..
 Each team will need to run all courses.
 Please make some kind of a tow point from your R/C. FRONT AND REAR
 This will also be a" run what you brung event" crawler, scaler, slash ,emaxx
 But dont forget  the course will be based on a 10th scale crawler or scale truck.
 No rules on any mod, so bring em. dig ,rear steer,jet pack, whatever you want. any rc truck can join in for the fun. YOU WILL NEED A TOW ROPE AND TOW POINTS!!!!!

 NO HANDS,FOOT OR WHATEVER CAN TOUCH YOURS OR ANY TEAM MATES TRUCK IF IT GETS STUCK OR ROLLS OVER, OR  A 30 SECOND PENALTY WILL BE ADDED TO YOUR TIME.
 YOU CAN NOT PICK UP YOUR TRUCK AND MOVE IT THROUGH ANY GATE TO TAKE A PENALTY.
 IF YOUR TRUCK BRAKES... STOP AND FIX IT QUICK OR TOW IT!!! TIME DOES NOT STOP.
 
 ALSO NEW THIS YEAR A RAMP EVENT!!!!!!!
This year there will also be a RAMP, yes a "JUMPING DISTANCE CONTEST" so if you have something really fast bring it to. Longest out of 3 jumps will win!!! We will be launching from the paved area by the stage into the grass. So you can probably bring a fast car.
 this will take place right after the R/C  event is complete.

 So get tuned up!!!!  Bring your spare parts.
Bring a tow rope preferably with  some metal hooks on each end, metal coat hanger works well for hooks.
 Post up questions of you want.  I will try to answer you as quick as i can.

My 14 year old boy is bringing his Losi Nightcrawler and wants to join the crawl event. I know you said max of 10' for a tow rope, how long do you suggest? He has never competed in a team r/c crawl event. Would the axles be fine for a tow point? I don't know where else we could put one. Thanks

as far as hook points you should be fine we can hook onto the front axle some where for a tug or hook onto your links if your rolled over. as far as feet i would at least have 5'

we will see you there. if you have any questions prior look for a red 1st gen 4runner with yellow cage. a big one and a lil guy ill havee lots of parts as well as rope if you need

We had a great time at the event. My 14 year old was on the winning team. He could not have been more excited!!  He was a little afraid because he didn't know anybody and had never done a comp before. I think by coaching his team mate little Alex a little bit calmed him down. Everyone made him feel welcomed. I can't thank you guys enough!!  He can't wait until next year.
