Spring Mounts SAS T100
« on: Aug 02, 2013, 07:29:40 AM »
I have been working on gathering all the necessary parts required to do an SAS. I have found 2 different spring mounts that have both been used on T100's. I am partial to the one that reinforces the frame but I am having difficulty drawing the parts out so I can burn them out of plate. The other option is far easier but I don't like the look of it as much. my question is what do you guys think and what are pros and cons of each system?

Thanks.

OOOOOPS... Hopefully they will forgive me. These Vehicles are not mine... I found the picture on the web and only posted them to show what the spring mounts that I am referring to look like. Thanks for the heads up on the picture.

I have seen this build before... I have done a lot of research and have read every forum I could find on a T100 SAS. I am just trying to get peoples opinion on why one system is better than another. Thanks for sharing tho.

That's sweet... someone finally made a kit. I am still going to build my own just because I can and its cheaper. Which style of mounts do you guys like better? (from the picture above)

Sounds great Toyin. Make sure you brace the frame and plate the frame for the steering box. you can get away for a long time with out it but the frame will start to crack around the bolts. i just did it this passed yr with only a miner hair line crack
Yes the front axle has well over 100k and i have not had any issue with it.

So sounds like plating is a good idea, ;)

With that information I am far more tempted to go with the plated version. Thanks
