DB's Birthday party at the 'con?
« on: Mar 12, 2005, 06:51:07 PM »
I plan on going up to the Rubicon on the weekend of August 20th this year, leaving Frida around 2 or 3 pm, and coming back Sunday morning. Anybody down?  :beerchug:

I will most likely have a couple of rigs with me, I'll definitely let you know between now and then.

I was also thinking about doing something like this in Oct for my BD, but at a local trail.

Hey, check the Calendar, I've linked it to this thread for Aug. 20.

I need a tire cuz one of my mtr's popped.  I need to switch my axle housings for the ones i clearanced.  I will then have my detriot in front and welded rear.  And i want a 4.7 gearset.  I now my truck can take the rubicon right now hands down, but i want my truck to be better.

Hey db,

I seem to _always_ be late to _any_ 4wd event, and I've planned that now since I've got my own truck, I won't be late -- I'll try to leave on my own schedule and arrive to places earlier to give some time for playing. I'm always rolling into camp like 3am with Marlin and others and we never really get any time to relax.

So this summer as I do some trails Im gonna go even an extra day to just chill or play with my truck some.

So I definitely want to leave Sac with you on Friday around 2 or 3pm, and I know its a summer away from now, but lets arrange some meeting place near your house, like at a Starbuck$ or somewhere so we can gather up the early comers and travel together. I don't think my school will be in session yet, so I will just plan to take that Friday off from work and just leave here in the morning and get there around lunch time.

Whatcha think?

I am thinking that, since we will be taking HWY 50, that meeting somewhere around there would be a good idea, maybe around Sunrise Blvd.? Anybody else know where that is? ;)

I think Sunrise would be a good area to meet, since it's basically centralized as far as people heading up to Icehouse Rd. ;)

GOOD ANSWER!! GOOD ANSWER!! I was just thinking of a place that everyone could meet up at, that's centralized to most people.

i dont htink it has to be centralized, just somewhat on the way,

Hazel is the next exit up from sunrise, and the chevron and the lake are rtight off the freeway, easy access, and a larger area so we could meet.  sunrise is a disaster area at most times of the day, and there really isnt a good place to meet up near the freeway
