Engine weights
« on: Mar 03, 2005, 05:49:00 PM »
I have been wanting to get rid of my 22re, but don't want to add alot of weight to my truck, I was woundering if anybody out there knows the weights of some different engines, like the 22re, 7m, 3rz, 5vz, 4.3, 350, ect.

thanks
Joe

I believe a 350 small block would weigh about 700 lbs.  depending on if you had any aluminum parts like heads and intakes and such.  I'd imagine a 4.3 would weigh around 500 or 600 lbs.  Just a estimate...

If anyone has the weight of the 3VZE as well, that would be great.  Researching a swap to a 4.3 vs V8.

Thanks Bigmike, It won't be till then that i will have the funds to do my swap, just tryin to get as much info as possible,  I am leaning to  the 5vz over the 3rz, just cause time will also be an issue, and offroad solutions 5vz kit has almost everything I will need to drop it in. even though it is a little more expesive, but my time is worth money too.  but the info would be awsome.

does any one know the weight of a 22re :dunno: ?  just woundering.
