Front Bumpers are back and better!!!
« on: Aug 24, 2012, 04:53:43 PM »
We've just released our NEW Front Bumper design! The first version we are introducing is for IFS-style frames, namely 1986-1995 Toyota pickups and 4Runners. We will have 1979-83 and 1984-85 styles available soon.
Regular price will be $399. We are running an Introductory Price of just $349 until Sept 3!

What's New?
  • We have created a new one piece frame brace to increase strength and minimize installation trouble. This new brace includes our steel Turtle Cutout logo and is beefy!
  • New lower bar design that increases strength in two ways:
    • Spreads frame support closer to the outside corners
    • Places the bumper closer to the side frame support brackets for 3rd gen applications.
  • The new lower bar design provides more room for blinkers and/or larger driving & Rock Crawling lights!
  • The new lower bar design also is continuous across the bumper instead of our old design which was disjointed at the bottom. This provides increased strength and improves the bumper's appearance.
  • The Stinger is now available via an optional install-yourself kit! Now you get to choose the height and the angle of the Stinger! (More information and pictures coming soon!)
  • Our USA-Made HREW Tubing is still stronger than a competitors "DOM" tubing!

We'll be posting some action photos after the weekend

Until then here is a pic of us testing fitting it to Goldrush's 4Runner!

Please tell me it will still fit a winch on a V6 4Runner with AC?
I have an Addicted Offraod front "winch" bumper that does not have room for a winch to fit.
If so I may have reason to be at Marlin on Monday.  :)
If I hit it just right, I might make it.

ETA on 79-83 front bumpers?
I'll check tomorrow.

Got some studio pictures taken today:

I also have some action photos from a trail ride over the weekend that I need to upload, and MAN I love this new bumper. I think this is the best looking bumper we've ever made. i really like the redesign to the lower bars. Everything flows together so nice, more room for driving lights, and improved mounting/support. I really like it!

Will be posting the action photos soon!

I have an Addicted Offraod front "winch" bumper that does not have room for a winch to fit.
If so I may have reason to be at Marlin on Monday.  :)

News to me. Maybe the winch you are trying to use it too big.

New bumper looks nice Big Mike!

By the way, I love the Addicted Offroad bumper but it didn't have the receiver built in and the cost was just too high :(

So if I order front bumper for my 95 does it have these extra side frame mounts like on this 4runner?  It does say either "8 or 10 bolt mounts" on the store page.   It just doesn't say anything or show these extra tabs on the store page.
Thanks

Thank you for your question Jeff. The IFS-frame bumper we currently have in stock (fits 1986-1995 Pickups & 4Runners) has the 10 bolt frame mount feature, while the Live Axle bumper that we are currently developing (fits 1979-1985 Pickups & 4Runners) has the 8 bolt frame mount feature.

Yes, the bumper shown on the Gold 4Runner has an extra side mount plates to fit 4 additional frame bolt holes that are found on 1989-1995 models. This will be exactly how your bumper will look for your 1995 4Runner. It still has 10 bolt mounts, we just have to change the upper bracket to a side bracket to fit these applications.

I will update the website with information for this shortly

BigMike

I mounted my bumper this weekend and this was my only complaint...

This tab did not line up..

And you can see on the opposite side it didn't line up but the tried to fix in the manufacturing process..

Also, I received the wrong size bolts for these locations..

But, overall Im still very happy.. Still need to weld stinger on :)
