want to lift my runner.   im gonna check tomorrow and see but if there the same diameter can i throw the coils from the front of the runner into the back of the runner and buy lifting coils for the front.   or is there a better way with out using the lifting pucks that sit ontop of the coil.

Here is a link to a couple options.  I went with the adjustable bilstein shocks, they gave me just under three inches of lift on the highest setting.  No comment on how they ride, I haven't driven it yet.  Another nice aspect of them it is that with there kit the shocks can be upgraded to coilovers.

I've been running this setup on my Tacoma for a couple years now on the highest lift setting.

The ride is great. Much better than stock.

You can use stock fj80 landcruiser front springs and the rear shocks to lift the back of a 3rd gen 4runner. I just install a set off 9coil ones on my brothers 3rd gen an it gave it a 4.5 inch lift. Also if you can find a set of 2000 + tundra trd front springs and strut it will bolt on to the front and give it i think it was something around 3.5 inch of lift

I'm running ome lift stuts and coils up front I love them their the stiffer ones but I have a badlands offroad bumper and a winch so it evened it out. It rides great eats up potholes and washboards on dirt roads fine. There is however little to no flex in them, not that ifs has much but a lifted 86-95 ifs rig has more flex up front then I do. For the rear I'm running fj80s and its just a tad higher in the back then the front.

I ran a setup similar to this.  Bought the parts from Sonoran Steel.  Adjustable pan hard bar and few odds and ends to make it work well.

I would get coil overs or even an sas. That will give you a good lift but it's expensive
