There is a rig on Pirate that has Unimogs.  It is a Yota.  The only thing is he narrowed them.

Do a search under big toy freak and also Tass.  Both those guys stuck mogs under yotas.

IF you wanna go 85 you better go with something else.  From what I hear the Unimogs, Rockwells, and tractor type axles are not made for 8 mph driving.

As far as cost, well, 2 front steering unimog axles with stock brakes runs about 3K.  Like I said, that is 2 fronts so you can have rear steer.  IF you want to run a front steering axle and a rear drag axle, you can get away with about 2400 or so, depends where you get em and if they have been gone through or not.  If you want em to work on a Yota with Yota shafts, you will need a pinion conversion and that is another 250 to 500 bucks, depending who does it.

I dont know squat about tractor axles, never considered them.  I know there is one dude who runs em in competitions and they do O.K.

IIRC Torbett won his class last year. He is running New Holland axles on a tube rig. Not sure what the portals will hold up to but if you went witha  hybrid (Toy/Mog or 9 in./Mog you could have lower gearing in the center which would give you a lower final drive that might allow 85mph. Again I don't know the strength of the portal boxes but I do know these setups are some serious  :twocents: . Search around Pirate a bit, there are a couple of guys with the hy-brid mog axles.
