My friend use to deal in stereos that had vacuum tubes, I'll see what he says.

btw, they can be expensive!  all the real crazy audiophiles are using tubes for richer sound.  So hopefully the tubes aren't bad, and it just takes some cleaning of contacts and what what not inside.

Those older ranges can be worth some good $ even more than new ones when they're restored.

My friends response.  I didn't tell him how old the stove was.  most likely mono.

I'd post this question to the audioasylum.com vintage forum. A really well travelled group.

What's funny is that with the right speakers it would probably sound much better than many modern components.

Probably between 8-10 watts output. But is it stereo... Or only mono?

The capacitors underneath are likely fully charged... And can kill u. Don't go mucking around till you've had a chance to post to the asylum and see what they say.

Hope it helps buddy.

I have heard of this, people find them and restore them.  They swear by the way they cook, and they prefer the aesthetics over a modern one.

Yes, a fully charged capacitor can kill you when touched.  Basically when you touch it you ground it out and it releases its charge directly into you. There are devices to drain capacitors so you can work on them.

Just jump it with an insulated jumper.

 Didn't notice that, still that hood may be worth $ too. You know how the nostalgia nuts will pay big bucks for those kinda things.
