Rubicon Express reopening anytime soon?!
« on: May 10, 2011, 05:35:54 PM »
I just read a thread on pirate

http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=973157&highlight=rubicon+express

And someone posted that they will be back in business after being bought out by Transamerican Auto Parts by June....

Wondering how this is going to effect the quality of RE products. I had planned on getting an RE lift for my wifes Jeep... not really sure what i'm going to do now. Is there any other pre-manufactured lift out there that is comparable to RE? or better?

R.I.P to my Papa, I miss you pops......

From what I heard Transamerican will be keeping all of the old employees and the shop, so hopefully the quality will stay the same or get better.  :crossed:

Check this out, their back in BIZ... wonder if anyone's ran their new kit yet.

"June 16, 2011

We are happy to announce that the lights are on and some familiar voices are back on the phones and ready to help however they can. We are on track to have product available August 1, 2011(hopefully even a bit sooner!!) but in the mean time we are available to help with any technical issues you may have. Also, as mentioned in the previous press release, all warranty’s will be honored and our Customer service/Techs are taking down information on warranty needs so that as parts become available we can process those ASAP."

This is very unsettling in my opinion, It's like Wal-Mart buying out Best Buy or something  :smack:
Hopefully the RE we all know and love won't become the next Smittybilt  :crossed:

So far it hasnt become to that. They have added grease zerks to the bushing end of the links. But for the most part its nothing has changed as far as the quality of Rubicon Express's product.
