Whoa....Never seen the cab come off the frame like that before...  Looks like the passenger compartment held together pretty well considering...  Although a passenger might've been crushed if he had one.  That is a seriously crazy looking wreck.

took me and another guy 1 hour and a half to get it up. it was down a 60 foot drop off, so we had to drag it up the hill and over the gardrail. all we had at the time was a F-550 with a spilt boom to get it out. truck did fine but pulled the front tires off the ground a few times had the west bound lines shut down for an hour

Holy :pokinit:, what a mess!! That guy is incredibly lucky, the driver's compartment appears to be the only intact area of the entire truck. He should buy a lottery ticket.

I'll take the driver's mirror and door handle.  Looks like thats the only thing good left on that truck..........

Glad he walked away though.  Makes me feel more safe driving my taco every day.

With cabs comming detatched from frames these days, it almost seems like toyota rivets them on with plastic rivets although I know that's not the case.

thats crazy. Makes me never want to get a taco with the cabs just flying off the frames and all. I mean how is that not a recall now? Did either of these trucks have body lifts? the pics don't look like it but you can't really tell whats what on them.

no body lift on the green one but he hit the tree going 65 plus backwards with the back of the cab at the top corner on the pass side. i think if you hit any truck that way they would do the same.

one thing that i remember seeing on a friends Frontier is a cable going around a crossmember around the rear of the cab.... maybe tacos need one of these..... seems there is something missing if this is a ?common? problem
Those are some huge welds!
