98 Tacoma T Case Output seal for front driveline
« on: Jan 31, 2010, 05:29:20 PM »
My Front output seal on my t case was leaking and here are some pictures of fixing it.  The process is really straight forward and easy except for the staked nut which is a pain in the :moon:

Steps:
Drop front driveline
Drain T-case
un-stake staked lock nut
remove lock nut
remove companion flange
replace seals and put back together

There are actually two seals.  One in the t case and one in the companion flange.  The one in the t case was around $10, and the one in the companion flange was $3 or $4 I beleive.
