Are you using the bolts in a flip kit or are you trying to use them with stock plates?

What year housing do you have? On '84-'85 housings, the square bolts go on the driver side, the long round bolt goes closest to the diff, and the short round bolt goes on the outside of the passenger side.  Thumbs Up

It is an 85 housing. And they are installed properly.

Our U-Bolts are made for our flip plates that use 1/4" material. Looks like those plates are 1/2". Also, our spring packs are 6 leaf where as yours appear to be 7 pack (middle leaf looks to be added). And with the addition of the shim on the bottom that would give back what our kit is to be used with. If you would like to send them back, we can definitely get the cost refunded to ya.
